How is this better than filter apps?
Filter apps are designed to update one photo based solely on the information in that photo. For this reason, what they can achieve is relatively limited and often of low quality. Using the photos you send us, we train the AI (an artificial neural network) to visualize a person or an animal. This approach allows us to create images of substantially higher quality and in a variety of contexts and styles.
Why does it cost to create these portraits?
Training AI (an artificial neural network) requires a lot of compute resources. We need to use enterprise-level GPUs (graphics hardware), which is very expensive. The good news is that the results are substantially better than the alternatives.
What happens to my photos?
You control your data. The photos you send us are used only to create an abstract model and are deleted immediately after. We do not share the abstract model with anyone, and only share the generated photos with your explicit permission. You can request to delete the abstract model and the generated photos at any time.
How long will it take to receive the results?
The creation of the abstract model and the generation of your photos takes about an hour. However, due to high demand, it can sometimes take up to 12 hours. We apologize for this delay, but we promise that you won't regret the wait.
What kind of images should I send?
We support JPG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC. You'll find detailed guidelines on the upload page.
Where is my data stored?
We store your data on EU servers, because EU has very strict laws on data privacy.
Are payments secure?
Yes, we use an industry-standard payment services (PayPal and Stripe), which means that we don't store your payment information.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, but only before we have created your portraits. This is because we have significant costs generating portraits.
Who built this?
It was built by 42nd Universe Ltd and its founder, Rok Strniša, who is originally from Slovenia, studied Computer Science at the University of Cambridge, worked at various international companies in the UK, and is now a solo entrepreneur. There are no investors involved, so your data is safe.
Can I get the photos for cheaper or free?
Yes! If you share a portrait we generated of you on IG/Twitter, link to this page, and mention @avatarportrait (IG) or @RokStrnisa (Twitter), we will give you a refund: 100+ followers => 20%, 1k+ => 50%, 10k+ => 100%.
Can I make money with Avatar Portrait?
